Hooray for Harry!
Harry S. Truman’s
Leisure Time and Hobbies
by Rachel and Whitney
He deserved to have fun!
After Harry S. Truman was finished with his work for the day, he enjoyed his leisure time. First of all, he loved to spend time with his wife and daughter.  He loved his family very much.  He also gave many speeches to different groups of people.  He spoke to people about the war against Japan and about his life as a president.  He would also play golf in his spare time.  He would play golf with his buddies at different golf courses.  He helped build the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum.   He also helped supervise the library after it was built.  He was a very busy man.

In addition, he always got up early every morning.  When he got up, he took early morning walks around town.  He would speak with all his neighbors, and he always remembered their names.    Another thing he enjoyed doing was playing the piano at five o’ clock in the morning. Harry S. Truman attended many piano concerts, and could play lots of instruments.  He enjoyed spending his time reading books.  He liked to read novels.  Finally, he would participate in sports.  Two of those sports were swimming and fishing.  Obviously Harry S. Truman loved his leisure time.
