Theodore  Roosevelt

Early Years

Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27,1858 in  New York. Throughout his life he enjoyed riding horseback, swimming and hiking. He also studied  wrestling, boxing and judo. He did these things to make his body strong because he was so sick as a child. His  father was Theodore Sr. He was a millionaire. His mother was Martha Bulloch and she was from Georgia. Theodore Roosevelt had asthma. Because  he had asthma he studied at home. When he was little his father took him to meet President Grover Cleveland. President Cleveland told him he hoped he would never have the misfortune of becoming President. Of course he became our 26th president of the United States.
