James Madison was the 4th president. He became president in 1808. He won by 75 electoral votes. James Madison started war with Britain in 1812 . James Madison was re- elect president for a second term. The president struggled for success to find civil. Before he became president, James Madison made immense contributions both to political theory and to the founding of the American republic.
