Hello from the Panhandle
of Nebraska! Yes, we have Carhenge, but we also have only a 35
minute drive to Chimney Rock and the Oregon Trail. Beautiful farms,
ranches, and sand
hills surround our community. The drought, however, has stricken our
part of the country.
Railroad is the occupation of many of my student’s parents. My name
is Ms. Gould and I teach
5th grade social studies. I also teach 6th, 7th, and 8th English, and
6th Religion. I teach 41
students daily. I am thankful for the resources and ideas that have
been generated with this
project. The whole staff is planning on engaging their classrooms in
the election process.
The information that I’ve shared from this project has motivated and
energized them. I will
begin this project on Tuesday in my Social Studies Class and will incorporate
it into my
English Classes, as well. Thanks, Walter!
