Temples - 500 AD
By 500 BC Greece was the greatest civilization on Earth. Rather than spending much attention on building elaborate homes, the Greeks had their architects build beautiful temples to the Gods they believed in. |
| When the Roman empire came into power just a few hundred years later, they also built temples, as well as huge homes for the rich and large apartments that could hold many, many poor families. |

We can also find examples of temples in the ancient Far East. In Japan, a temple consists of the main hall, lecture hall, the pagoda, gates, bell and cemetary. |
